Yes, I experienced a third BSOD yesterday.
And it even happened while I was working. So sume dude got pissed and complained in the comments so I figured “Who cares?” and then I thought “Oh well, maybe I SHOULD do something nice.”
So I went and started recording something with Cubase and Windows just crashed. Microsoft doesn’t want me to do something properly.
Although I may even know why it crashed.
See, there are these drivers for if you hook something up to the computer which uses the soundcard it has to have some drivers, or something like that. I have no idea how that process really works but what I DO know is that the standard Windows drivers suck ass when it comes to something like that.
So some years ago, when I was still in school, an acquaintance of mine recommended me the free asio4all drivers.
The sample size (I have no idea what that is) is, from what I understand, the time in milliseconds that they need to pass the signal from the device to your speakers or something like that. Again, I don’t know, I’m probably spouting bs.
What happened is some application started using the soundcard and when I started cubase asio4all told me the output is occupied.
I spent some time trying to figure out what the lsof equivalent under Windows was but alas I could not find it. Maybe someone can help out?
What I end up doing is turning off the soundcard and only then the asio4all drivers could access it. Or something like that.
When I wanted to use the soundcard I just turned it on and I admit: That was my mistake. Apparently asio4all was still using it and then I started some applications that needed to use them, too, so that is maybe why this crash happened. This is, though, not only my fault but Windows’ too, because a good operating system, like Linux, would’ve immediatly said something like “Fuck you, dude. This device is already in use. You cannot just it for something else” and would not let me do something stupid like that. Windows was like “Oh well, go on mate… WHAT THE HE-” and that was the end of the story.
So I totally blame Windows for kicking me in the nuts while I wanted to do something creative.

Second BSOD

I just wanted to start Clementine to listen to some music.
What does Windows give me instead? BSOD of hell.
That’s fethed up…
Yeah, I know it’s kinda sad when I start counting BSODs that happen weeks aparat but it’s just to counter those people who claim “they had never any bluescreens after they installed Windows”.
You know? You’ve probably no idea how to use an operating system or stress it to the max. Well, neither do I but I get bluescreens anyway, for some reason…
Go figure.

I just wanted to let you know that Windows 7 crashed on me today. It resutled in a bluescreen of death.
This just shows that the most basic truths (with expcetions) never change. The truth being here that Windows will crash and not work. Always.
Well, what a surprise…

Windows - Again

So I finally installed a 1 Terabyte Hard Drive and just moving Steam from my primary one to the secondary Hard Drive was enough problems.
Why the hell is Windows using this registry system? Whose stupid, stupid idea was that? Who was moronic enough to think of that crap?
Windows will never change and stay the crappy operating system it is, unstable and not userfriendly.
Been having registry problems since Windows 95. So there.
[edit]
I just have learned that one of the Desktop Environments, that is being used under Linux (called Gnome) also wants to have a kind of registry, just like Windows.
This is one of the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Well, that’s why I don’t use Gnome.
e17 ftw
Every time...
